I'm Gen and I am an ultimate frisbee enthusiast, a dog lover, a wannabe pro surfer AND an authorised marriage celebrant based in Melbourne.

Why did I become a marriage celebrant?
I became a marriage celebrant because in 2021 I promised one of my childhood bestfriends that I would officiate her wedding. I then committed to completing my celebrancy course over the following 12 months, whilst working full time. In October 2022, I officially delivered my promise when I was able to marry two of my close friends on what can only be described as one of the best days of my life. I found out very quickly that I loved every part of being a marriage celebrant and I decided to start my own business 'Married by Genevieve', which has now blossomed into the most fulfilling side hustle I could have ever asked for.
What can you expect if I am your celebrant?
As your marriage celebrant, you can expect an effervescent and enthusiastic approach that infuses every moment with joy and authenticity. I firmly believe that no two love stories are alike, and that's why I dedicate ample time to truly understand each couple's unique journey. Together, we'll embark on a collaborative journey to plan a ceremony that mirrors your personalities, values, and dreams. My passion lies in weaving creativity into every aspect, ensuring your special day is a delightful blend of fun, engagement, and deep emotions. Let's create a ceremony that resonates with your hearts and celebrates the beautiful story of your love.
What do I get up when I am not marrying couples?
Monday - Friday I work full time as a Paediatric Audiologist, where my days are full of seeing little kiddies and fitting them with hearing aids so that they can hear the world around them.
When I am not at work you can find me surfing at snapper rocks, throwing the frisbee on the beach, patrolling at palm beach surf life saving club or cuddling any dog in my line of sight. Don't get me wrong, as much as I love the outdoors, I equally love getting comfy on the couch and binge watching any sort of crime thriller TV series with a block of choccy.
